Never Losing Sight

He pressed his palm against my chest,

My pulse had flickered with unrest;

My pressure rose with thoughts of him

Entering my life again.

We'd lost our way, and grew apart

Found my way back;

He broke my heart

Our paths resisted their true meeting

I met him there, his feet were fleeting.

I need his love to keep me sane;

to heal my heart from all this pain

My cuts and bruises need his seal

While in his arms, my heart will heal.

Where there is dark, he sheds his light

I never will give up the fight,

To hear the music of his laughter

And share his life forever after.

You are my life; my love, my air;

Primary subject of my prayer,

My endeavor; still to do,

Is never losing sight of you.
